The main goal of this study is to assess the digital competence of senior high school teachers in the sixth district of Manila as a basis for training framework. The respondents of this study were composed of teachers from three subject areas: science, language, and mathematics. The study focused on five aspects of digital competence namely content information processing, communication, content creation, safety, and problem-solving. Based on the result of analysis of variance there is no significant difference in the five aspects of digital competence when grouped according to age, subject area, educational attainment, and years in service. The result shows that the teachers were equipped with the necessary equipment for digital competence. The study also revealed that there are some challenges the teachers are facing in the application of digital competence. It is recommended to apply the study to other subject areas in senior high school.

Education 4.0 is the newest trend in the field of education in the 21st century. It is in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study investigated the implementation of education 4.0 in the 6th District of Manila and the target participant were the STEM teachers. This focusses on the knowledge of educators towards the implementation education 4.0 and in the fundamental digital skills of educators. It was revealed in this study that educators majored in Science is more knowledgeable in the implementation of Education 4.0.Keywords

-The new normal has brought changes in the teachinglearning platform. Different modalities are implemented to ensure the continuation of education, but some nations had decided to close their educational system while amidst the pandemic. The Philippines have decided to enter the synchronous and asynchronous modality of learning. This study aimed to know the role of online recitation through forum discussion in the synchronous learning modality. Thirty grade 11 STEM students were chosen purposively for this study. Google Classroom was the online platform used by the researchers, the classwork section of the google classroom was utilized where questions were posted, and responses were placed by the students. Rubric scoring was used to grade the works of students. The result of the study showed that there is no significant difference in the performance of students in terms of participation, quality of posts, plagiarism, and students' attitudes.Keywords
